Javi Guerra’s, as things stand, will be back at the Cardiff City Stadium as he’s still under contract but it’s been made perfectly clear that he’s not in Russell Slade’s future plans and he’s also made it relatively clear himself that he wants to stay in Spain.

A move that hasn’t ‘worked out’ would be an understatement as far as the 33-year-olds time with Cardiff goes, with so much expected from him when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought him in, but his time with Malaga didn’t go much better with that move unlikely to be made permanent.

Slade, in quotes carried by the BBC, expects him to go back to Spain, if a deal can’t be agreed then we’ll at least look to send him out on loan again.

‘If we’re all honest about the situation, Javier would love to get a club in Spain.

‘But if that’s not to be then we’ll have a look again when he comes over and it may be a similar situation where there’s a loan somewhere else again.’

The sooner an agreement is reached for him to move on the better….
