No Cardiff City Return For Earnshaw

Former Cardiff City striker and fan’s favourite Robert Earnshaw will definately not be returning to his former club after joining newly promoted Nottingham Forest meaning he will face us next season.

Earnshaw was a loan target for us in January but his then club Derby County were reluctant to let him leave temporarily. Earnie also fits the bill as a pacy goalscorer as we search desperately to bolster that area of the squad but a fairytale return never looked likely.

Earnshaw has failed to emulate his Cardiff City exploits. A big money move to West Bromwich Albion saw him show potential whilst a short spell at Norwich City was also profitable but last season was a disaster for the Welshman who barely featured and was dropped by National manager John Toshack.

Would you really want him back? they say never go backwards in life, i think it applies in sport too.

Was going to say, never go back, he needed to move on, and he has done. Fairplay, good signing for Forest, would love to have seen him at QPR.

He has not been able to cut it in the top flight, but he will get his fair share for Forest. He would have been a good addition for Cardiff IMO he would have complimented the two elder staesmen.
