Skipper Sean Morrison has said that he feels Cardiff City have definitely benefited from the November international break.

With the recent fortnight of international matches, it has allowed new manager Neil Warnock slightly more time on the training pitch to work on things in general, rather than with game preparation strictly in mind, but joining the gaffer for his pre game press conference, Morrison told the Official Site that he felt it had come at the right time for us, for a number of reasons.

‘It`s nice to recharge the batteries but we`re looking forward to getting going again now. The break gave the Gaffer a lot of time to work with the team, and the boys who have been carrying knocks. Huddersfield have had a fantastic first quarter of the season. I think they`ve won a lot of games by keeping a clean sheet and winning 1-0, so they`re obviously a difficult unit to break down. We know they`re very good on the counter attack too. It should be a good game and an opportunity to get some points on the board. We`ve got to try and move up that table as quickly as possible now.’

Going back to the last few weeks, Morrison also spoke about what had been worked on, but also the confidence he felt the side could take from a good performance against Newcastle United, even though the result didn’t go our way.

‘The Gaffer wants to try and unlock that door and get us scoring from open play more and not relying on set pieces. Since he`s walked through the door, we have belief that we can go anywhere and beat anyone. We all know that we need to be better though, individually, as a team and as a unit. All we can do is work hard on the training ground and instill that into the team on match-day. We`ve got no one to fear – we just need to go out there, do our jobs properly and with the Gaffer at the helm, we`ll be ok. The wins will come.’
