Cardiff City`s on trial star Costas Charalambides has revealed his determination to secure a permanent deal with the Bluebirds. He also spoke of the various offers open to him but stated his desire to join Cardiff City.

Charalambides told the South Wales Echo:

‘I`m hungry to play in English football and Cardiff City would be ideal, Cardiff are a club with great ambition. They play a passing game, which is how I like to play football.’

“I have offers from Greece, Austria and Cyprus, but I have my heart set on Cardiff.”

Charalambides impressed in pre-season training and looked good in the 2-0 defeat against Carmarthen Town – earning himself a place on the trip to Portugal at the same time.

He will be given a chance to prove himself as a player who can add depth to the squad and challenge Paul Parry and Trevor Sinclair for the right wing position.

He is a regular member of the Cyprus national side and played last season with Greek giants Panathanaikos.
