Cardiff City’s financial difficulties have been well documented over the past weeks and we have done well to progress as a squad following sales of the likes of Loovens, Johnson and Ramsey in recent years.

Although bids for Ledley and McCormack have been rejected, there is altready strong interest in the next young starlet as former academy player Adam Matthews ahs broken into the first team and looks an excellent prospect for the future.

A number of Premiership scouts are known to have watched the impressive full-back but The Sun is reporting that a deal has already been agreed behind the scenes with Manchester United for Matthews to move in January.

Pure speculation as yet and most likely the journos putting our finances and Premiership interest together just to make a story. However, there will be interest and we will have to listen to offers.
