Man City,Addicks,Everton want Jerome

Cameron Jerome’s departure from Cardiff this summer now looks definate with Dave Jones looking to sell to the highest bidder to free funds for his planned squad rebuilding program. Jerome has been prolific in the Championship this season but went public with his premiership ambitions casting doubt on his dedication to Cardiff City.

Everton boss David Moyes was present as Cardiff played Sheff Utd recently, Moyes is a long-term admirer of Jason Koumas but wea apparently there to watch Jerome who he sees as a possible answer to Everton’s goal scoring problems. Sheffield United are another interested club following a £2m bid being rejected during the January transfer window, Neil Warnock could make an improved bid to bring Jerome to his newly promoted club. Norwich also were interested but signed Robert Earnshaw on transfer deadline day and will be playing Championship football next season.

Jones is happy to let Jerome go, and has lined up Kilmarnock striker and young player of the year Naismith, as a possible replacement. The £3.5m price tag still stands for Jerome though and Cardiff will be hoping for a bidding war with Man City and Charlton also interested. Hopefully the transfer will be completed sooner rather than later allowing Jones to pursue his targets with a full idea of the resources available to him.
