Those Cardiff fans who booed at the end of Saturday`s 0-0 draw with Colchester United have incurred the wrath of Cardiff City manager Dave Jones. Jones has regularly praised the fans and has requested that more and more turn up to inspire the team but he was clearly disappointed by the fans booing the side.

Just over 13500 turned up to see the game with Cardiff looking to regain top-spot but they failed to score for the 4th successive game and had to settle for a point and third place in the table.

“I know it was only a minority but I cannot understand fans booing.” stormed Jones.
“There is no point in the fans having a go. If we were third from bottom I could understand it but we are third from top”
“That’s not going to help their (the players`) confidence.” He continued.
“We’re in a bad patch and we’re not scoring goals but we are still third, people should take stock of how well we are actually doing.”

Jones is a hugely popular figure with Cardiff fans and is seen as key to our current and future success.
