Cardiff City travel to face Ipswich Town tonight with their hosts intent on seeing off the Bluebirds and gaining all three points. With the Tractor Boys play-off hopes very much alive, but dented by a defeat to rock bottom Colchester United, manager Jim Magilton is targetting home games to maximise points.

Magilton is wary of Cardiff City’s threat, and mindful of his lack of options to change games. He told BBC Sport:

‘Two games without a goal is a concern, but we have no impact off the bench, although Jordan Rhodes did well when he came on.’

‘I want players back and fit for the last few games. At the moment we have to make do with what we’ve got.’

‘Cardiff are on the up, but these are two home games that we have to win.’

Cardiff have done really well in games when under pressure recently. Aside from the Wembley win, Bristol City (fighting for automatic promotion) and Southampton (scrapping against relegation) were both beaten.

Ipswich’s attack is worrying them, while Cardiff City’s defence has been extremely solid of late with just 2 goals conceeded in 8 games.
