Interest In Argentine Winger?

An area Cardiff could do with adding a little strength in depth to in our squad could be in the wings, and today it’s reported OGS could be looking to do that with Nacho Scocco a name cropping up.

Nacho Scocco is an interesting sounding name and has been a long term target of Sunderland but a reported formal enquiry into his availability hasn’t been followed up with an offer, with a fee around £5m quoted in the Hartlepool Mail.

A goalscoring record of around one in three for Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina isn’t bad is it and this saw him move to Brazilian club Internacional, but Scocco does want to move on and Cardiff are being accredited with an interest today. Now ‘former bid’ has been made according to the reports but an enquiry has been made?

We’ve got a good numbers of attacking players but maybe we’re lacking a little when it comes to out and out wingers so I’d not mind OGS bringing one in, as a former striker himself he knows that they thrive on service and if he could bring in the right one that could make the difference between us staying up and going down.

I’m not so sure if a South American, who is now 28, with no previous experience of English football is the right route to take though. If he couldn’t settle in Brazil, if that’d the case, would he settle halfway across the globe in Wales. That’s just a thought. For an outlay of some £5m maybe OGS would be better off looking closer to home as I’m sure he could secure someone that knows the Premier League for a similar fee, or in a loan capacity.
