Alberth Elis could come to Cardiff, if we’re able to fend off competition from Premier League outfit Everton?

Reports say that we’ve spoken to this 19-year-old strikers agent Daniel Solis about a possible move to the Cardiff City Stadium with Olimpia willing to part with him for £1m and we want to wrap up a deal for him ahead of the Under-20 World Cup.

Assuming we can see off Everton, and we do want the striker, it’s thought that we’re keen to sign him before the World Cup in New Zealand as if he shines, as expected, his fee could inflate and interest in him grow.

Roberto Martinez has a strong history of signing Honduran footballers so that could stand him in good stead, as could the fact that Everton are a Premier League side but the likelihood of regular first-team football would appear more likely with us?

We’ll see what happens!
