Hammam Serves Writ On Cardiff

Former Cardiff City owner Sam Hammam has engaged the club in a new way by serving a writ on CCFC over a proposed ‘loss of wages’ to Mr Hammam personally.


Hammam is the only point of contact with mystery company Langston, currently embroiled in legal wranglings over a breach of contract – they claim that £24m of loan notes is payable now and are taking the club to court.


Now Same Hammam, meant to be a helping the club negotiate with Langston, has begun his own court proceedings against the club he professes to love.


Of course, Sam is a businessman and if he has been wronged in a business sense, he should get his money and not feel ousted once again by Peter Ridsdale. The sum of money involved is £70k, perhaps not trivial to Sam but certainly to Langston (who stand to make pennies in the pound if Cardiff City enter administration).


The sum will also not cause problems to Cardiff City but is the latest in a series of strange events and decisions from the once revered Chairman. The claim stems from agreed payments between the club and Rudgewick (Hammam’s company which received huge pay-outs in consultancy fees – when Hammam was in charge), the payments are alledged to have halted with the emergence of the Langston court case.



This news was made public in the South Wales Echo today, Risdale was not available to comment suggesting that it was not the club who chose to go public. I really hope Sam Hammam did not, and has let go of the club – his presence still casts an ominous shadow over our beloved club. I really hope he has now decided to go quietly.
