Cardiff City look certain to offload out-of-favour centre-back Gabor Gyepes during the January transfer window after the Hungarian has been left out of the team, and was publically blamed by Dave Jones for several gaols, including Swansea City’s winner.

Gyepes was apprantly free to move on during the summer, but no clubs came in and he has appeared for the Bluebirds on a number of occasions due to prolonged injury to Chris Riggott and Anthony Gerrard’s departure on loan to Hull City.

Crystal Palace have apparently made contact with the club, and have had an offer accepted for the Hungarian International, thought to be around £200k.

Gyepes is a good player, but has lost his way in recent games and looks short of confidence. Jones has lost patience with him, but he remains a Championship standard player and would surely benefit from a move.

Palace recently lost Anthony Gardner, who has returned to parent club Hull City so the Eagles are in the market for a centre-back.
