Ganea offered City deal

Cardiff City have offered a 1-year contract to Wolves’ 6ft striker. 32 year old Ganea has seen himself pushed out of the Wolves squad this season after falling out with under-fire manager Glenn Hoddle. Ganea’s place had appeared to be taken by Polish flop Tomasz Frankowski and Hoddle is extremely unlikely to renew Ganea’s contract which expires this summer. Ganea has scored 5 goals in 12 appearances this term.

Of Hoddle, Ganea recently siad:
‘He’s the most difficult coach I have worked with in my entire career. I don’t even know if I can name two or three players who are satisfied with Hoddle’

Ganea was brought to Wolves by Dave Jones and that may well attract Ganea to Cardiff if, as expected, he moves on this summer.

With Hoddle widely expected to lose his job following two disappointing campaigns with Wolves, a new manager may decide to offer Ganea an extension but he would most likely be happy to expire such contacts and bring his own players in.

Coventry City have also been strongly linked with Ganea, and Ganea’s agent recently stated that the Sky Blues had offered a 2 year deal as opposed to the 1 year contract from Cardiff, but with Coventry denying these statements it seems likely that Ganea’s agent is fishing for a two year deal from a Championship club.
