FIFA To Rule On Cardiff’s Forde Move

The Football Association of Wales has stepped in to suport the proposed loan move of Cardiff City’s Irish keeper David Forde to SPL side Dundee Unitd.

FIFA rules state that players cannot compete in three different countries within the course of a season. Forde has played on loan for Luton Town, aswell as representing Cardiff City in the FAW Premier cup last week in the victory over Welshpool.

The SPL consequently vetoed the switch but that is now being contested by Cardiff City, Dundee United and the FAW. The paperwork was all in place ahead of the Thursday deadline and FIFA will now rule on the transfer.

The move would see Forde link up with feloow Cardiff team-mate Willo Flood, also on loan at Tannadice.
