Cardiff City youngster Chris Gunter has been the centre of recent speculation linking him to Premiership side Everton.

The Blues or Merseyside have had two offers rejected for the teenager but remain hopeful of securing his signature.

Cardiff City are short of cash, and looking to rebuild their squad while Chairman Peter Ridsdale has been open about the fact that any member of his side could be sold.

David Moyes is mulling over a third and final offer for Gunter, but it still may not be enough to prize him away.

Even if an offer is accepted, the move is not necessary and the player may decide to remain with the Bluebirds for the time being where he will get more first team action and be able to maintain his place in the Wales squads.

It is great that a 17 year old player, after just half a season is attracting strong interest and £1m+ bids from the Premiership. Gunter has looked a great prospect so far and could become a great player for Cardiff City.
