Eastwood Begs For Cardiff City Switch

Wales striker Freddy Eastwood has issued a ‘come and get me plea’ to Cardiff City and insists he has the quality to fire the Bluebirds to the Premiership.

Dave Jones has considered a move for Eastwood, currently out of favour at Wolverhampton Wanderers, but recently stated he thought there were better targets with more quality.

Eastwood told the Wales on Sunday:

“I need to get away from Wolves and play – and Cardiff would be a very good move for me.”

“They would be attractive to anyone, they got to the FA Cup final last year and they`ve got a lot of good young players – you only have to look around the Welsh squad to see that.”

“They have brought a lot of good players through and I know they had a little bit of a difficult season in the league, but they showed what they can do by getting to the cup final and in the end they were unfortunate not to win it.”

“So anyone would fancy something like that.”

Eastwood sevured a big money move to Molineux after impressing for Southend. He can score goals and has revelled in his short spell in the Welsh side.

It’s worth noting that the Wolves supporters are behind Eastwood, and his problems getting a game seem to stem solely from manager Mick McCarthy.

As for now, Eastwood remains firmly on the ‘maybe’ list.
