Dubious Rumour: Chopra to Watford?

Reports in London are suggesting that Michael Chopra could soon be on his way to recently relegated Watford with journeyman striker Steve Kabba coming the other way as part of the deal.

There was no registered interest in Chopra just days ago as confirmed by Peter Ridsdale but it seems Watford may be attempting to lure Chopra to Vicarage Road.

It seems strange that Chopra would jump at the move with The Hornets being an average Championship side. They are expected to push for promotion but would almost certainly be favourites for relegation again while Chopra could do better by having another good season for Cardiff and attracting a better Premiership side to bid.

At the moment, Chopra is training and staying put. We are under no pressure to sell but would be guaranteed at least £3.5m under the terms of Chopra’s contract.
