Cardiff City will hand a forced debut to new loan signing Dimi Konstantopoulos on Sunday with regular keepers Peter Enckelman and Tom Heaton sidelined with injury. Dimi joined on loan as cover for the crocked Enckelman after a proposed move to Swansea City fell through. Dimi now looks set for a run in our side and is not ruling out a permanent switch from Coventry City at the end of the season. He told Ske Sports:

‘At the moment I have been very impressed with the whole set-up here and the squad as well, which has a lot of quality,’

‘I wouldn’t reject any offers from Cardiff because from what I have seen so far everything is in place here to go up this season, but we will see how things go from now until the end of the season. We will take it one game at a time and hopefully it will have a happy ending.’

Konstantopoulos has previously impressed at former club Hartlepool, but found chances limited at the Sky Blues following the emergence of Kieran Westwood. A loan spell at Swansea City saw Dimi grab headlines with some impressive displays, not least against Portsmouth in the FA Cup. City did well to get a keeper of opbvious quality in so quickly, also in good form. He has had a couple of weeks to familiarise himself with his team-mates and will look to continue our miserly conceded tally.

I haven’t seen him play, but if not good enough for Coventry City….is he more than just a stop-gap? DJ doesn’t have the best recond in picking keepers
