Cardiff City fans could be forgiven for a lack of footballing interest amid the 4-4 shocket at Peterborough and string of postponements of late. Off field woes have dominated the news of late but in fact, we are (on paper) in great form!
That stems from 3 successive wins over Preston, West Brom and Middlesbrough. However, we then picked up 1 point from two games against the relegation fodder Plymouth and Peterbrough, despite being 4-0 up at half time!
10 points from 15 was enough to see Dave Jones nominated for the Championship manager of the month award. Chris Hughton of Newcastle, Billy Davies of Nottingham Forest and Sean O’Driscoll of Doncaster Rovers make up the shortlist.
It seems unlikely Jones will win, probably good news after the disasterous November following the award Jones won for an impressive October.
