Coventry City will be missing their experienced striker Kevin Kyle for the visit of Cariff, the ex-Sunderland man has a fractured wrist while Kevin Thornton will also be missing for the Sky-Blues.

Defender Marcus Hall is unavailable and will be replaced by Adam Virgo while former Cardiff City and Wales defender Robert Page returns despite clashing severely with a teammate during training.


Cardiff City are still without experienced duo Darren Purse and Riccardo Scimeca for the trip with Roger Johnson and loan-player Simon Walton deputising again. Stephen McPhail will keep the captain’s armband and Michael Chopra will be fit despite missing training early this week with a groin strain.

Cardiff have a dilemma at left-back with Joe Ledley and Kevin McNaughton both unable to train this week due to injuries sustained against Barnsley. McNaughton has been given the all-clear after suffering concussion while Ledley is battling to revover from a twisted knee. Both will undergo late fitness tests, and should neither make it then youngster Joe Jacobson is in line for his first Championship start for the Bluebirds after an impressive performance in midweek.
