Roger Johnson has joined the Bluebirds for a fee of £250k, to be paid in installments. Johnson becomes Dave Jones’ 6th signing of the summer in what is expected to be a busy week for the Blues boss.
The Wycombe Wanderers centre-back and captain had attracted interest following his solid displays and was a target for Swans boss Kenny Jackett. The Swans had a £100k bid rejected earlier in the summer and were expected to make a marginally improved deal later in the summer.
Roger will join up with the squad in time for the pre-season trip to America and is expected to start the season as back-up to first choice defensive partnership of Purse/Loovens.
