Cardiff’s Ridsdale Slams Killen

Cardiff City Chairman Peter Ridsdale has revealed his frustration after Chris Killen did an 11th hour U-turn and spurned Cardiff City to sign for Celtic instead.

The player spoke in the press about his impending move to Cardiff City from Hibernian and expected the deal to be completed this week. However, late interest from Celtic persuaded the New Zealand striker to remain in Scotland.

Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale was understandably dissappointed with the player’s decision:

‘We are in the market for payers who want to play for this club so it was better to find out now than further down the line.’

‘This move clearly demonstrates that Killen did not feel for the club and I look on this as a lucky escape for us.’

Manager Dave Jones was reserved in his comments but reveealed his displeasure:

“Let`s just say I`m not happy with the lad, it`s best left there.”

Cardiff must now turn their attentions to finding an alternative having already planned and bedgetted on capturing Killen for no fee.
