Cardiff City’s Paul Parry has been recalled to the Wales International Squad for the Euro 2008 double header against Germany and Slovakia.

Parry was fearful for his place after being omitted from the recent friendly squad that beat Blugaria 1-0. However, he has started the season brightly, scoring once and looking sharp and his form has been rewarded with a place in John Toshack’s squad.

Parry’s versatility is a big asset. He has good pace and has experience playing on both the left and right wings as well as playing the last two Cardiff games in a support striker role – he scored a headed goal in the 2-0 win at QPR.

Cardiff’s Joe Ledley is also in the squad although teenage right-back Chris Gunter will instead join up with the U21s.
