Cardiff City’s experienced striker Robbie Fowler has vowed to find his killer touch for the Bluebirds and insists it’s only a matter of time before he comes good.

The former Liverpool FC legend started our last Championship match, away at Norwich City, but was withdrawn after an hour. Fowler failed to fire, despite looking keen and making some intelligent moves. He struggled with fitness and looked jaded by the end.

Fowler told the Western Mail:

‘It’s been a long time since I played and when you play well you play well, but it wasn’t one of my better games’.

‘But it’s another hour under my belt and that puts me in good stead.’

‘Hopefully I can build on that. I need a little bit more sharpness, to be fair.’

The lack of pre-season training has hindered Fowler’s impact, expecially compared to Hasselbaink who trained with Chelsea FC pre-season and is looking good and sharp already.

i think he should also play regulary for the reserves, thats more time under his belt, but the defence of reserves wont be as good as the normal defence but hopefuly he will start to shine, he has to have time playin with hasslebaink because if thats his upfront partner then he will need time to get used to play with him
