Cardiff youngster on loan at Rovers

Cardiff City’s promising left-back Joe Jacobson is set to join up with ex team-mate Byron Anthony and former manager Lennie Lawrence as he moves on loan to Bristol Rovers.

Jacobson, a left back, was duo to join Torquay back in November but the chairman pulled the plug on the deal. Jacobson instead spend a period at Accrington Stanley where he impressed and even managed to score a goal.The youngster is highly rated and Dave Jones has been looking to give him first team experience to prove himself.

He was due to play for Cardiff in their FAW Cup tie against Carmarthen last night, but was omitted from the squad once Bristol Rovers confirmed their interest.
