Cardiff City winger Malvin Kamara is enjoying his loan spell with League One side Port Vale. Kamara has joined for the rest of the season after finding first team oppurtunities limited at Ninian Park.

Kamara was convinced to join the Valiants by fellow midfielder Kevin Cooper and the youngster has appeared to settle in well. He has started 7 games (+1 substitute appearance) and scored his first goal for the club in last night’s 1-1 draw with Cheltenham Town. Ex-Cardiff City defender Rhys Weston also played in the game. Kamara’s goal was a clinical finish similar to the one scored by Kamara against Wolves at Ninian Park earlier this season.

At the moment, it is unclear whether Kamara will return to Cardiff City. He proved earlier this season he can do a job at Championship level and with age on his side, may become a useful squad player for the Bluebirds. Kamara told his icons.com homepage:

‘I’m really enjoying myself here at Vale Park. My aim was to get as many games as possible under my belt.’

‘I wasn’t aware before I joined, but there are some excellent players here, who can teach me a lot.’

Of his future, Kamara was keeping his options open:

‘My loan will last until the end of the season and then we’ll see what happens in regard to my future at Cardiff City.’
