Cardiff City manager Dave Jones was satisfied by his side’s performance – made even more acceptable by the injury problems dogging the side before, and during, the game. He told BBC Sport:
‘Both sets of players came out with a lot of credit. There was no quarter given from both sides.’
‘We both had a right good go at each other – there was good football and a lot of endeavour and commitment from both teams. I enjoyed the game.’
West Brom manager Tony Mowbray also took something from the game and was not too disheartened:
‘I thought it was a decent game and I think they probably had the best chance of the night – but we’ll take that.’
‘We came here for three points. On the overall balance, I thought we deserved all three. But we’ll take 0-0 and move on.’
