Cardiff City face a difficult home encounter tonight and will be feeling the pressure of expectation weighing on their shoulders.

Wolves have a strong squad, and have strengthened after reaching the play-offs last time round. Freddy Eastwood, the ‘Welsh’ striker has joined as well as former Cardiff City target Stephen Elliot as well as the experienced Michael Gray from Blackburn Rovers.

Michael Kightly is a constant danger on the wing and with players like Olofinjana and Bothroyd – they will cause problems for any Championship side.

The Wolves come to Ninian Park unbeaten in 5 games and having conceded just one goal in that period. Back-to-back wins against Charlton Athletic and Coventry City see the confidence high at Molineux and Cardiff City will have a tough time.

Ourselves, we are not in good shape. A bright performance gave way to a dismal result against Southampton on the weekend after a lack of quality in possession, and a defensive lapse saw the Saints take all three points – they didnt even deserve one.

That is our only defeat in 5 league games, but too many have been drawn and we sit languishing in 16th place. The problems are all too evident and the international break did us no favours after stopping our momentum.

There is no doubt that Cardiff have the players to get the result tonight, but Wolves will fancy their chances and we must be on good form to match them. Vital Cardiff predicts a 1-1 draw – click HERE to leave your prediction for the match.
