Hull City have been in and around the relegation zone all season, did you envisage a relegation battle before the season?

No, certainly not. I know that Hull aren`t the best side in the Championship but I at least expected an improvement on last season`s 18th place finish. However, considering the managerial changes we have had to endure this season, asurvival is our only priority. It has been a disappointing season all round, especially as we seemed to have moved backwards rather than forwards butproviding we survive, I expect at least mid-table obscurity next season.

Its in your own hands, do you think you’ll avoid the drop now?

I hope so, but it would be easier if you let us win ?. As it`s in our own hands, I expect us to stay up, but there are a very nervous one hundred and eighty minutes of Championship football left to play. The whole of England is behind us in our bid to send Leeds down, so I hope we don`t fail everyone.

You thrashed us earlier in the season, a great Hull performance – what’s been the problem?

We`ve been too inconsistent. I know you were in poor form at the time but we have beaten some of the best teams in this division and lost to some of the very worst. Our home form has not been good enough and that has been the main problem. If you don`t win the home games, you put a lot of pressure on yourselves to pick up points away from home. Although we`ve been inconsistent, that`s how the championship has gone this season, with everyone having te potential to beat anyone on the day.

If you could have one Cardiff City player to join you – who would you chose and why?

Stephen McPhail may not be the obvious answer but he can pass the ball and that`s what we need in the centre of our midfield. We were linked with him before he made the move to yourselves but nothing ever materialised. Hopefully we will sign some creative, ball playing midfielder who can attack in the Summer, along with a couple of wingers.

Hull City player to watch?

This usually changes game to game but Nicky Forster`s run rate has caused several teams problems in recent weeks. Dean Windass will always be a threat if given the opportunity.

Prediction for the game?

It should be a good game and one I look forward to. I have a long train journey ahead of me so I can`t predict anything other than a win. If we don`t win, or we drop into the relegation zone with only one match remaining, it will be a long four and a half hours home.

My prediction is a 1-0 win to Hull City.
