Cardiff City manager Dave Jones was downbeat after seeing his side gift 2 second half goals and lose 3-2 to Wolves. The former Wolves manager promised changes if the team continues to malfunction – but are these words coming too late?

Jones told BBC Sport:

‘We were in a winning position and we spoke at half-time about working hard. But we’ve gifted them two goals and we have to defend better that that.

‘If we can’t improve and defend correctly then we’ll change things.’

There was a sense of deja vu amongst many, and yet Jones has kept the faith with his misfiring stars – he expects the fans to keep the faith too but things must change.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy sent a message of relief and satisfaction after seeing his side take the game in an improved second half showing.
