Cardiff City have Kasper Schmeichel back after missing the Liverpool game (cup-tied) but the Dane is unsure of a starting place.

Trevor Sinclair also missed the Carling Cup game through an injury but is now back and available after having his knee washed out.

There are numerous possible changes to the line-up that Dave Jones may consider with McPhail, Capaldi, Fowler and Hasselbaink failing to show their best form recently and Gunter, Whittingham, MacLean and Thompson all fighting for a starting position. Glenn Loovens has also had more time to rest a sore foot.

However we can be fairly sure that Jones will opt for:

Schmeichel, Capaldi, McNaughton, Purse, Johnson, Ledley, McPhail, Rae, Fowler and Hasselbaink.

With the final place going to Paul Parry or Trevor Sinclair.

Crystal Palace welcome back Tom Soares from suspension and the youngster is set to replace experienced Welsh International Carl Fletcher, sidelined by a dead leg in the Eagles’ 0-0 stalemate against Scunthorpe United.

Clint Hill could be in line for his debut after joining from Stoke City, the 29 year old central defender joining as part of the deal that saw Leon Cort move the other way.

Clinton Morrison is pushing for a re-call to the starting line-up looking for his 100th goal, after stagnating on 99 for the previous 10 Palace games.
