Cardiff City are lining up a summer swoop for Luton Town striker Warren Feeney.

The Northern Ireland International has 9 caps (including 1 goal, he has been at Luton for 2 years following a £150000 move from Stockport.

Feeney has scored just two goals in 15 league starts this year, as well as 13 appearances from the bench. Luton Town have also struggled and find themselves facing a tough battle to avoid relegation.

The 26 year old is out of contract with the Hatters in the summer, but needs assurance of Championship football before committing his future to the club, allowing Cardiff City to step in.

Chairman Peter Ridsdale confirmed the club’s preliminary interest in the striker but others, including Chris Killen of Hibernian, are on the list. No definate moves will be made until the futures of Cardiff City and Luton Town are know with a real possibility that 2 divisions could separate them next season.
