Cardiff City have been dealt a heavy blow after learning that one of the most impressive and consistent performers of the team could now be out for up to month after scans revealed a tear in Joe Ledley’s hamstring.
Ledley limped off on Tuesday during the 0-0 draw with Coventry City to be replaced by Stephen McPhail. Initial thoughtws were that he has just overstretched but January’s player of the month had scans to reveal a tear to the hamstring.
Returning early from the injury cauld easily cause a relapse and the Cardiff City medical staff will have to be 100% sure before Ledley returns to boost the play-off push.
Dave Jones previously intimated that money would be available for loan re-enforcements to cover injuries to players. Ledley is a key player for us and we will certainly miss him.
