Cardiff: Ridsdale Shock Quit Threat

Cardiff City Chairman Peter Ridsdale has reacted angrily to persistent abusive messages from people purporting to be fans of the club.

Ridsdale confesses himself tired of the constant criticism, and even taunts asking for the return of Sam Hammam.

For Ridsdale to leave would be a massive blow to the club. Fans have short memories and point to a disappointing start (though performances have been decent) and lack of big money signings. This is ludicrous.

Cardiff City have not been in a better position for a long long time, and the man responsible for that is Peter Ridsdale. Sure, Sam Hammam laid some of the foundations but nearly killed the club by throwing money we simply did not have.

Ridsdale has pulled us from the brink of liquidation, brought in exciting new players we would not have thought possible and was instrumental in the key acquisition of Dave Jones as a manager. Add to that the stadium project, which was almost dead and is now under construction – the man has been a revelation at the club.

The Cardiff Chairman has been so hurt by the abuse, that he offered his resignation to the CCFC board.

I have not experienced any ill feeling towards Ridsdale from any fans other than the usual rumblings at any football club. I can only assume that those making the claims are extremely bored, ill-advised and petty – more than likely the aren’t Cardiff City fans.

this is starting to become behond a joke now. few years ago, we was knocking on the door to the football conference. then sam hammam answerd, and saved us, he took us up into the championship. but got us £30m in debt. then it was ridsdales turn. hes got most of that dept wiped off. the stadium looks clear and its good times for cardiff. sam hammam nearly killed cardiff.and now he wants a way back in. he did his part. he will always be a hero at ninian park, but leave us alone. ridsdale is doing everything he can for the club, and without ridsdale then we wouldnt even be in the championship i dont reckon. so give it time, ridsdale has already proven him self to me, but i think he is the man to get us in the holy land of the premiership. RIDSDALE PLEASE STAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
