Cardiff City manager Dave Jones gushed after watching his side outplay, outgun and outclass an off-colour Queens Park Rangers side courtesy of three goals in the first hour. Jones told BBC Sport:

‘I can’t praise my side enough and I don’t think anyone watching will complain at that, man for man we were a different class.’

‘To see that football, movement, power and pace after a game on Sunday as well was superb.’

‘I told them at half-time to just go out and do it again. They did for 20 minutes, although they just took their foot off the gas at the end.’

QPR manager Luigi Di Canio was suprised as well as disappointed but chose to praise Cardiff City aswell as highlighting the defensive faities which comdemned his side to defeat:

‘It was not the real QPR out there, but credit to Cardiff, they really surprised us and took full advantage of our mistakes.’

‘I’m very disappointed but we simply got it wrong on the night, we didn’t have the right attention on the pitch or the right determination.’
