Cardiff City have been underperforming recently, a statement accepted by players, management and Chairman of late. The squad is the strongest that Dave Jones has been able to work with but results are not forthcoming.

There are problems in midfield, defence and attack with all three culpable in part for the lack of points and consistency.

A recent poll on this Vital Cardiff City website, suggested by member Bonesy, invited readers to vote which position they would most like to see strengthened by the acquisition of a suitable emergency loan player:

Emergency Loans Needed In…..?

Suggested By: Bonesy
Defence 49%
Midfield 32%
Wingers 5%
Forwards 14%

The goalkeeping position is one that has casued problems this season, but Cardiff moved to borrow Kasper Schmeichel from Man City so was not included in the poll.

Defence was the area most City fans want to see bolstered with a full-back the most likely position. Tony Capaldi looks short on confidence and has added little to the side in recent weeks after a solid start to his Bluebirds career.

Vital Cardiff is an interactive site and you can suggest your own poll.
