One of Cardiff City’s top transfer targets, Chris Killen, is set to leave his club Hibernian and a move to Cardiff is looking increasingly likely.

It is thought the Bluebirds would face stiff competition for the Kiwi hitman, but West Bromich Albion boss Tony Mowbray has scotched rumours of interest from the Baggies:

‘I can pour cold water on that – there have been no discussions regarding Chris.’

‘I know Chris but there is nothing in it.’

A move for Killen in January was thwarted by a nasty injury to the striker, but Cardiff City boss Dave Jones maintained his interest and was prepared to offer a 2 year deal to the powerful attacker.

Negotiations are thought to be at an advanced stage between player and club and it seems likely that Killen will start next season partnering Michael Chopra in attack.
