Cardiff City are reportedly considering a loan approach for former goalscoring hero Robert Earnshaw, currently at Premiership strugglers Derby County.
Earnshaw is the type of player Cardiff are missing, pacy, direct and a good finisher. He would add an extra threat and spark to our ailing frontline.
However the move seems unlikely to materialise. Earnshaw is on the fringes of a relegation threatened Derby side after the Rams paid £3.5m for the striker in the summer.
The rumour first surfaced a few weeks agao when Cardiff began to struggle in earnest, the Daily Mirror has repeated the claim today but it seems more likely that it is wishful thinking and adding a Cardiff side struggling for goals and a former hero struggling to impress at his new club.
