Wolverhampton Wanderers have failed with a bid for Cardiff City starlet Joe Ledley.
The bid, thought to be in the £2.5m region was made to CCFC and whilst we were under no immediate obligation to sell, Ledley himself is thought to have rejected the move.
The midfielder is our most saleable asset, and, following the exit of rising star Chris Gunter to Tottenham Hotspur, Ledley is sure to attract interest from Championship and Premiership clubs.
Selling Gunter becomes acceptable, IF, it means that we can keep our other young stars such as Ledley and Aaron Ramsey.
For the moment, Ledley remains committed to Cardiff City. I don’t believe he should go anywhere other than the Premiership and as a Cardiff boy, he has an added tie to the club. We’ll all be much happier when the transfer window closes.
