Cardiff International Break Blessing

Cardiff City have no match this weekend because of the International break and the lack of action could come as a blessing in disguise for Dave Jones’ men.

Some terrible results have seen the Bluebirds in freefall down the table, and we hover outside the relegation zone on goal difference alone.

Intense speculation regarding Dave Jones’ future as manager was paused this week as he recieved unanimous backing from the board, however, it seems the former Southampton FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers manager has just two games, against Ipswich Town and Leicester City, to save his job.

The International break will halt the momentum of other sides, but we have no momentum and can use the time to regroup and rally the players into one final stand to get back to playing some decent football, and grinding out results.

Is this wishful thinking?!? I hope not, Dave’s on his last warning, and things simply have to change. Hopefully, this is the beginning…..
