Cardiff Fans Vote On Cup Glory

Cardiff City are safely through to the quarter final of the FA Cup, a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season to date. AS of last night, we knew our hosts for that clash to be Premiership mid-table side Middlesborough.

A recent poll on this Vital Cardiff City website asked readers where they thought our cup run would end this season. The results were somewhat of a mixed bag:

Will We Win the FA Cup?

Yes! 18%
No – Lose In Final. 1%
Lose Semi-Final. 28%
Lose Quarter-Final. 53%

Just over half the voters thought we would fall at the next hurdle, a tricky away fixture. However, a further 28% thought we would beat either Boro or Blades but miss out after making a historic trip to Wembley for the semi-final. Both Manchester United and Chelsea are expected to be in that draw but the ticket money alone would be a huge boost to the club.

A reasonable 18% can see us winning the cup, thats especially optimistic for Cardiff City fans but, and reminiscent of the blind faith shown by previous owner Sam Hammam.

But then again, who knows…..?

Your league form has suffered a tad perhaps as a result of the cup run. If I’m honest I think Boro may have a bit too much for you, they have really started to put together some good performances in the league, that Alves should be fit also, not worth 10m of anyones money, but still a decent player.

At 10m – would you want him to play against us 🙂 We’re not the most physical side, but Loovens doesn’t really care what in the way of him and the ball – it doesn’t stay there for long!
