Cardiff City fans will not be thrilled to learn that the Rail Maritime and Transport (RMT) union and Transport Salaried Staffs Association (TSSA) are planning a 72 hour strike.

Guess when? Of course, its the 6th April, commencing at 6.30 and just as 33000 Bluebirds will be wending their way home following the semi-final against Barnsley.

This is another unfortunate inconvenience following the work planned on the overground rail route between Newport and Bristol meaning that trains on that day will be replaced by buses or re-routed through Gloucester.

The strike is over safety concerns, but is not welcome news for thousands of Bluebirds supporters, now with prized Wembley tickets and figuring out the best way to reach the stadium and return.
