Cardiff City have been monitoring the progress of 25 year old Barnet striker Tresor Kandol.

Dave Jones and Peter Ridsdale have made initial contact with clubs about close to one hundred players in the last few months but hold a stronger interest in Kandol.

The striker has been in good form for Barnet this season scoring 10 league goals and a brace to knock Cardiff City out of the Carling Cup back in August. Kandol has netted 7 goals in all competitions in the last 3 games including a league hat-trick against Rochdale.

Kandol is a large striker but pacy and direct with a confident demeanor and could probably play with either Steve Thompson or Michael Chopra up front for Cardiff.

Kandol has never commanded a transfer fee depite playing for Luton, Bournemouth, Cambridge and former club Dagenham & Redbridge from whom he joined Barnet in January of last season.

Kandol may join Cardiff on loan with a view to a permanent move in January but Cardiff are exploring other options as well as the Bees man.
