Cardiff City and Leeds United have announced that the upcoming fixture between the two cluvbs, originally scheduiled for Saturday 23rd October, has been switched and will now be played the following Monday (25th Oct, 7.45 kick-off).

The original fixture had already been moved to 12.30 given the tense relationship between the two sets of fans. In recent years, the Bluebirds have fared well against the club who have now become established rivals. A brilliant FA Cup giantkilling saw the Whites fall from grace and plummet down the leagues, while Koumas and Willo Flood strikes have also seen us victorius in more recent clashes.

The game will now be shown live on Sky Sports, and provide a chance for many at home to watch the game. The Bluebirds boast excellent away support and are likely to sell the full allocation regardless of the TV coverage. Hopefully it will be an intriguing encounter, with Ross McCormack set to play against us after his recent move.

At least the two clubs now have one thing in common, with both sets of fans sharing an intense dislike of Peter Ridsdale after the former Chairman is blamed for the near financial ruin and extinction of both clubs.
