Cardiff City may have to add McNaughton (back), Heaton (cramp), and Parry (foot) to their already lengthy injury list. Heaton and McNaughton could feature, but Parry looks less likely.

His replacement would be the returning Ross McCormack, while fellow forward Jay Bothroyd could be a late addition to the squad if passed fit.

Gyepes, Scimeca, Commingues and Blake will all be hoping to benefit from the manager’s threats to make changes. Ledley, Whittingham and Capaldi are definate absentees.

For Reading, manager Steve Copell has ruled out making any changes to his side that lost to Southampton. Defenders Graeme Murty and Sam Sodje remain out though Scottish International Murty has returned to full training and is close to a return.

Welsh U21 player Simon Church is missing. He had been on loan with Wycombe Wanderers but broke his hand while training with Reading.

Fellow striker Dave Mooney is also ruled out by an ankle injury.
