Cardiff City fans face an axious wait ahead of tonight’s crunch clash against Leeds United with question marks over the fitness of several key players.

Jay Bothroyd is nearing fitness after a hamstring problem, but Jones will be desperate to avoid aggrevating the problem. However, with big Jon Parkin (ankle) unavailable, and Andy keogh facing a late fitness test – Jones’ resolve will be tested. Thankfully, Michael Chopra is available following a rule change meaning his 5 yellow cards accrued do not result in a ban.

Craig Bellamy should not play, that is based on clear advice from his trainer who is adament that ‘explosive’ players with injuries history like Bellamy should not play two games in a week. this is a rule that Dave Jones has stuck to, and with Bellamy featuring against Bristol City on Saturday – he is unlikely to feature.
