Cardiff City’s injury ravaged squad will be tested tonight with a number of players awaiting late fitness tests.
McPhail has had a scan on his internal bruising, Chopra’s heel is under scrutiny and knocks to Quincy and Chris Burke are being assessed. Jay Bothroyd looks certain to miss out with a muscle tear, as will Kevin McNaughton with an undefined problem related to his back and hamstring.
Eddie Johnson could come into contention while McPhail, Quincy, Scimeca, Blake and Capaldi could all put a case in for a rare start. Much depends on Dave Jones’ decisions to be made later today.
For Barnsley, manager Simon Davey is top reward Saturday’s winning side by picking the same XI. However, Martin Devaney will not travel after his wife gave birth to a son. Jamal Campbell-Ryce will take his place in the squad.
New loan striker Michael Mifsud looksset to keep top scorer Jon Macken on bench duty but a player familiar to Cardiff City fans will not play. Kayode Odejayi missed a sitter against us at Wembley but has joined Scunthorpe United on loan.
