Cardiff City are reportedly lining up a bid to bring Barnsley’s Irish winger Martin Devaney to the club.
Devaney, 26, can operate on either flank but is said to prefer a wide right berth. He has hit 11 goals in 79 appearances for the Tykes and has enjoyed a good season this time out.
Barnsley boss Simon Davey wants to keep the player, and he has recently signed a contract extension, but Barnsley may not be able to withstand a substantial bid and the player could be available for around £200k should Dave Jones make a move.
Cardiff City have struggled on the right flank when Parry lost form and Cardiff City scouts have watched Devaney on a number of occasions and it is thought he would be a good signing for the club.
Devaney could become another former Barnsley player, after McPhail and Chopra – both popular at Oakwell, to play for Cardiff City.
