With the start of the season just a few short weeks away, Cardiff City have been dealt a huge injury blow with the news that key defender Kevin McNaughton has been ruled out for 6 weeks with an ankle ligament problem.

The blow offers an opportunity for anotehr squad player to fill the vacant left-back position with Mark Kennedy favourite. Tony Capaldi is another viable option though he missed almost the entire season last year and has admitted he will look to leave in search of first team football.
