Cardiff City have signed former a former triallist to cover the problem left-back position following the departures of Mark Kennedy and Tony Capaldi.

Kevin McNaughton was therefore the only senior player with any real experience as a left-back, he made a great start to the season with a typically effective and energetic man-of-the-match performance against Sheffield United – showing some pleasing attacking intent.

22 year old John officially signed for the Bluebirds yesterday afternoon, and was registered in time to feature in the Carling Cup win over Burton Albion.

He has previously played for Ottowa Fury and was known as a cultured player with excellent pace. He is a former Canada U20s player and has signed a 1-year deal with the Bluebirds.
